#1 Yoga Pose to Banish Shoulder Pain

 Yesterday, the family and I went for a bike ride at the world-famous Myra Canyon, which is part of the abandoned Kettle Valley Runway in Kelowna, British Columbia. The old railway is now a multi-use trail that is highlighted by two tunnels and countless trestles.

It was an amazing 12-kilometer (approximately 7.5-mile) bike ride. The family had a great time.

Today, I have a quick exercise that will help you eliminate shoulder pain.

Active Press-up

Start in a triangle position and then scoot down and press up or arch your back. Hold the end position for a second and then go back to the starting position.

We are working on the shoulder blade muscle, which is important. We are also strengthening the shoulder to decrease the stress in the shoulder joint.

If you cannot do the whole movement, you can do the starting movement where you are in the triangle position. Hold that position and work on strengthening up those muscles in the shoulder blades. The intensity of this exercise is light to moderate, depending on your fitness level.

Give that exercise a go to banish your shoulder discomfort.
