#1 Yoga Pose to Banish Shoulder Pain

Yesterday, the family and I went for a bike ride at the world famous Myra Canyon, which is part of the abandoned Kettle Valley Runway. The old railway is now a multi-use trail which is highlighted by 2 tunnels and countless trestles.


It was an amazing 12-kilometer bike ride. The family had a great time!

Today, I have a quick exercise that will help you eliminate shoulder pain.



In this video, I wanted to go through the best shoulder pain yoga exercise.

I got Alix to demonstrate the exercise.

This exercise is called active press up. Start in a triangle position and then scoot down and press up/arch your back. Hold the end position for a second and then go back to the starting position.

We are working on the shoulder blade muscle which is important. We are also strengthening the shoulder in order to decrease the stress in the shoulder joint.

If you cannot do the whole movement, you can just do the starting movement where you are in the triangle position. Hold that position and work on strengthening up those muscles in the shoulder blades.
