With the popularity of this type of learning continuing to rise, more and more educational institutions are offering distance education courses that students can take from home. Distance education, also referred to as online learning, is a method of instruction where students do not have to physically meet with instructors or fellow classmates. Learn about the types of distance education courses available to you as an adult learner and how you can start taking them now.
I have had several emails from EFI readers about distance education courses.
They have been wondering if I have any distance education courses that they could do to get their continuing education credits before the end of the year.
Yes, I do. I have several courses.
Here are the distance education courses that I have:
- Muscle Imbalances Revealed – Lower Body Edition – 6 CECs
- Muscle Imbalances Revealed – Upper Body Edition – 7 CECs
- Practical Rotator Cuff Exercises – 6 CECs
- Practical Exercises for Scoliosis – 5 CECs
- The Ultimate Training Guide for Cancer Survivors – 2 CECs
- Lower Back Spinal Fusion & Exercise – 1 CEC
Several people have said that Christmas is an excellent time to work on distance education courses since we all have a little more time with things lightening up around work.
If you need it done ASAP, just let me know, and I will mark things very FAST.
Plus, if your association is not listed, you can easily petition your association. All you need to do is fill out a form letting them know about the courses. I am also here if you need any help.
MIRL CEC Exam
Hi Rick. My name is Bryan. I am a certified Athletic Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
As you know, it is time to re-certify and turn in CEU’s. I purchased the MIR-lower body, but for various reasons did not complete the exam before the deadline.
I have contacted the NSCA and they will allow me to turn in CEU’s for the exam.
May I still take the exam and get credit from you so I can use the CEU’s? Sorry to wait to the last minute. Thanks for your help.
Yes, no problem.
We want people to finish their exams within a year, but we are flexible.
Bryan, finish up the exam and email or fax it to us.
We will mark it and get you your CEUs for NSCA.
If you need it ASAP, just let us know, and we will process it even faster.
Courses from Last Weekend
It was a great weekend of classes.
Last weekend it was the Exercise Rehabilitation of the Upper Body courses.
Lots of learning and sharing.
I learned a lot from those that attended. From their questions and their own experience and knowledge.
Here are some of the kind words from the weekend:
“I got some great points for my shoulder.”
“I am very pleased with Exercise Rehabilitation of the Shoulder. I love it when I can take these new concepts and try them on our residents.”
MIRU DVDs are Out There
People are very excited about the Muscle Imbalances Revealed – Upper Body Edition –.
The DVDs look fantastic, but the content is even better.
Today, I am off to pick up another box of DVDs sent around the world.
Thank you to everyone that has talked about them on Facebook.
Let me know how they are.
Sharing the Reading
Thanks to everyone for passing on various articles from ExercisesForInjuries.com (EFI) on Facebook; it means a lot.
Make sure to take a look at these posts as there has been some discussion going on in the comment area:
- Critical Considerations for Ankle Sprain Exercises
- Corrective Exercises for Disc Herniations
- Post-Rehab and Hip Imbalances
- Have We Drunk too Much of the McGill Cool-Aide?
I know I need to reply to the disc herniation posts. I have been working on this month’s Injury of the Month but will get to it next week.
Oh ya, this month’s injury is Jumper’s Knee.
That is another week.
Have a great weekend, and thank you for reading.
