Early to Rise Presentation in Denver

Early to Rise Presentation in Denver

The presentation in Denver is so enjoyable. I think I have presented about 600 times since 1999.

It is incredible to stand before a group of people and share what you know and have experienced.

With every presentation opportunity, I look forward to it and can’t wait.

I was sad when registration was low for the Core Stability Weekend of courses in October. This led to me having to cancel the weekend.

The canceling of the courses led to another opportunity.

The day after I had canceled the courses, I got an invite from Craig Ballantyne to talk at his Early to rising Event in Denver, Colorado.

Craig wanted me to share with 70 business owners what I do online regarding Exercises for Injuries.

It has been a while since I was in Denver. The last time was in 2005 when I took a break during my adventures. I was mountain biking the 5000 km Continental Divide Mountain Bike Route (2.5 months of mountain biking). It was a wild adventure, but many lessons were learned about injuries. I was off to Denver.

Back to the Denver event in 2012.

I wasn’t sure what to anticipate from the occasion. Many speakers appear for their session and then leave, so I was unsure if I’d attend the event or just present. I decided to give the event a chance and stay until the end of the day.

After the first presentation in Denver from Craig Ballantyne, I was happy I stayed. I took in a lot of ideas and was reminded of several things I need to work on when it comes to EFI.

As I go to more and more conferences, I end up taking fewer and fewer notes. As I walked around during the meeting, I was reminded of something else. Over the day, I think I took two pages of notes but left with two things I needed to take action on.

Another thing I experimented with was not checking email for the whole day. It was incredible to see that the world did not end. I need to do more of this. I mean, I need to check email less.

My session was on having a big idea, connecting with others online, and working with partners.

I know it does not sound exciting, but I was able to bring Mad Max and Terminator into the presentation in Denver, which made things fun.

After my session, it was time to chat and meet those that attended. I am finding this to be the best part of a conference. It was great to meet so many different people. It is great to hear what others are doing and connect.

With my passion being injuries, it is fantastic to see the people my passion attracts.

A doctor from Michigan shifted his practice to focus on how the mental side needs to change before one can change anything physical. It was fascinating to talk about this.

I talked to someone who focused on nutrition and talked about what foods help with recovery.

It was a quick trip, but I took away a few key things to remember, met some great people, and shared a few things I have learned along the way.

Here are a few photos from the quick trip:

I finally met Chris Lopez of KettlebellWorkouts.com. We have been chatting over email for years, but it was great to meet and have lunch finally.

Nicolas Pineault from Quebec. We had a great chat about foods that affect injury recovery.

Kate Vidulich and myself. An Australian in New York. I interviewed her a few months back. Great to finally meet.

We got to meet up with “Mysterious” Matt Smith. He gave me several great ideas for growing my business during our little chat during one of the breaks.

That is it.

Hope to meet you at a presentation, conference, or seminar.
