Exercise Rehabilitation of the Neck

Exercise Rehabilitation of the Neck

The human neck is incredibly flexible and can bend forward, backward, side to side, and overhead.

It also connects to the back and front side of the body, so it’s an essential part of balance and posture.

Even so, the neck is one of the most undervalued parts of the body. Everyday tasks like reaching for something on the other side of the room or hunching over for too long can strain or injure it.

The neck is also the anchor that connects the upper body to the lower body. So it requires a lot of attention when it comes to exercising.

Exercises that target the neck not only strengthen it but also help maintain the correct range of motion and alignment of the spine. It also helps to prevent injury and decrease stress in the neck by loosening the muscles and tendons. These are just some of the reasons why you should be exercising your neck.

DESCRIPTION:

Your neck is the most used joint in your body. It becomes most evident when it is injured. Poor posture and awkward sleeping can lead to neck strains, while motor vehicle accidents can lead to disc herniations, whiplash, and cervical fusion. In the Exercise Rehabilitation of the Neck course, you will learn the critical structures of the neck, assess exercise readiness, and do practical exercises to recover from neck injuries.
