When I was in Orlando at a conference, I was sitting there and I could feel the lower back pain building up in my back. I wanted to share with you a few tips on what I did in order to fend off the lower back pain from arriving. A big problem that I have at conferences is back pain.
Sitting for a long period of time, jamming my body underneath these short little tables, and sitting in these super-uncomfortable chairs that are perfectly upright are all reasons that lead to lower back pain while at a conference.
So I want to give you a couple of tips that you can give your clients on how they can fend off low back pain at a conference.

3 Tips to Fending Off Lower Back Pain while at a Conference
#1- Sit at the End of the Table
The big thing is to sit at the end of the table so you can stretch out your legs and get your legs out from underneath the table, lounge out and relax your low back and lower body.
This will allow you to change your body position and decrease the stress on your lower back.
#2 – Get Up and Moving
The second thing is to get up and get moving. Get up frequently. I’m always getting up during a conference, moving around, and walking.
Use the break between sessions to go into the hallway or outside to walk around. Even during a session get up and walk to the back of the room for a micro-break.
This will decrease the stress on your lower back.
#3 – Stretch at the Back of the Room
The third thing is to head to the back of the room and do some lower body stretching. Stretch your calves, your hamstrings, and internal/external rotators of the hip. Stretching these areas will all help decrease the tension in your lower back.
I hope you enjoyed the 3 tips that your clients can do in order to fend off low back pain at a conference.
Before I go.
At the conference, I met Bedros Keuilian. Before he headed on stage, I took a photo with him. You can see it over to the left. I have been reading his fitness marketing emails for years. The free tips in his emails have helped me get more training clients. If you get a chance to see Beros present, you have to. For right now, check out his blog PT Power.
Until the next blog post.
Oh ya. Do you have any other tips that you give your clients when fending off lower back pain at a conference? Let me know by leaving a comment below.
