Hey, I made it back to Canada. It has been a shock to my system to leave sunny Florida and return back to cold Canada with about 2 feet of snow waiting for me at home. But it is always great to be home and to reconnect with the family.
Yesterday, I had part one of the interview with Tom Talbot. I hope you enjoyed it. You can check it out here!
Today, I have part two of the interview below. Enjoy!

======================================
In most cases, how to deal with panic and anxiety attacks strike out of the blue, without any warning. Thus, it is very important to have a better understanding of panic and anxiety attacks to address them properly. Regardless of the cause, panic attacks are treatable. There are many effective treatments and coping strategies you can use to deal with them. Tom Talbot, a panic attack coaching expert, will help you learn more about them through this second part of the interview on Panic & Anxiety Attacks.
Check out the video below to know more.
In the above interview, you will discover:
-
What are the causes of a panic attack
1. Trauma is an event that causes physical or emotional harm. This is a response to a stressful or frightening event beyond our ability to cope. It may be a one-time event or re-occur over time.
2. Build up in your system – It might be a one-time event or something that happens over and over again. Something you experienced made you feel tremendously frightened, sad, or worried for a long time.
3. Genes – In an event, the genes are linked to our memories and emotions. When we experience a traumatic event, there is a part of our brain responsible for emotional reactions that sends a signal to where our memories are stored. That’s where trauma ignites.
-
What medications and therapeutic models can people use to deal with a panic attack?
1. Pills or drugs – we should be mindful in taking this for side effects it may cause. Always consult and report to a specialist for advice.
2. Self-medication or self-comforting – others take medicine, talk to someone they trust, and even go to places to feel comfortable about their feelings.
3. Therapeutic models – Some people experiencing trauma and anxiety are comfortable with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, a form of psychotherapy that aims to correct negative patterns of thinking and behavior. As for them, this is a safer choice.
-
What are the techniques to manage panic and anxiety attacks?
- Engage a systematic technique – an approach that can help you process your traumatic experiences, find a sense of closure, and move forward with your life.
- Engage in their parasympathetic nervous system – One of the best ways to overcome trauma and anxiety.
-
What are common misconceptions about anxiety disorders?
- Experts think that anxiety and trauma are controllable – Most people who suffer from this kind of condition aren’t able to get better.
- Side effects of medication – can be managed with the right treatment.
I hope you enjoyed the interview.
Take care and have a great day!
