Kiah Loewen is a yoga instructor and a Human Kinetics student at UBCO in Kelowna, British Columbia. She began practicing yoga as a teenager, which allowed her to better work through some of the challenges of everyday life. Yoga and meditation quickly became a way of life.
Kiah followed her passion, earning her yoga teaching certification. She is currently classified as a RYT200, which is a Registered Yoga Teacher with over 200 hours of certified hours of instruction.
Kiah’s true gift lies in connecting her students, helping them deepen their own practice. By focusing on the breath and the present moment, she aims to create a learning environment in which each student feels safe and supported, with the ultimate goal of taking their practice off the mat and into their everyday lives. Her ongoing studies in Human Kinetics has contributed to her understanding of the body and movement, putting a stronger emphasis on proper alignment. Kiah believes that yoga is so much more than the poses we do, and hopes to share the depth that it can bring into everyone’s lives.
