3 MUST DO Morning Rituals to Improve Your Health

Good morning (okay, afternoon).

I wanted to share with you a clip from a conversation that I had with Yuri Elkaim about healthy things to do first thing in the morning.

Enjoy and let me know how they go.

Step #1

What I do in the morning is I wake up and the first thing that I will do is I drink a liter of water, and that’s very important because most of us are dehydrated, without even knowing it, especially after you sleep.

And if you sleep with your mouth open, you actually lose a lot of water vapor over the night.

I sleep with my mouth open and this leads to a loss of water vapor. I wake up in the morning with a dry mouth and that’s how I know I sleep with my mouth open.

I want to rehydrate after a night sleep, this will reinvigorate you more than a morning coffee.

Here is a photo I got with Yuri, the first time I met him in California:

Step #2

The second thing that you want to do is in conjunction with the drinking of water, I want to squeeze half a lemon into the water.

What that does is not only to add hydration from the water but the lemon actually stimulates your digestive system to kind of kick start and it helps us go to the bathroom.

A lot of us are backed up and that lemon juice actually stimulates contraction in our intestines to move stuffs through. It also helps to rid the gall bladder and liver of excess bile and toxicity that has built up overnight.

It’s a very effective and proven way to just get that stuff away and that takes about 30 seconds.

Step #3

The third thing is if you have a juicer or a blender is make a green juice or a green smoothie.

I think if you did nothing else in your life but added a green juice or a green smoothie in your day, just once, it would make the biggest difference.

Most of us have blenders and few of us have juicers. If you think about a smoothie for instance, let’s say you have some dark green leafy lettuce, apple, pear, banana, water and some lime juice that’s a very simple recipe there with some water .

You are getting 5 to 6 varieties of fruits and vegetables in a glass.

Again you are getting all of these amazing nutrients that most of us avoid of because of our food choices. It’s a great way to start the day compared to bacon and cream cheese and the coffee and all that stuff that really drains you after about an hour.

These are stuffs that just kind of kick start your metabolism, your vitality and it gives you energy and it just makes you feel good to start the day with that.

One other thing that I try to do is a cleanse at the start of the year, the one that I do and recommend is this one.

Thanks, Yuri.

We will chat with you soon.
