About the Presenter of the Exercises for the Joint Replacement Client:
Jody Kennett, SFU HFC, BCRPA Personal Trainer, ACE Clinical Exercise Specialist, 10 years of experience leading Joint Replacement Classes
Jody has over 10 years of experience training joint replacement clients. She has trained hundreds of individuals in both pre and post-operation. Her training in this niche market began at the forefront of the development of a joint replacement program being created at the District of West Vancouver in collaboration with Lions Gate Hospital.
This program grew from 1 class of a few participants to 6 class time options with the capacity to hold up to 12 registrants. With the growth of the program, Jody realized the need for a specialized instructor training program. Therefore, she designed an extensive course manual and a one-day workshop on Joint Replacement with the goal of other communities building these joint replacement classes at their facilities. She is now the owner of Leap Fit Training Professionals where she continues to be a post-rehabilitation specialist, is a thriving coach, and delivers health and wellness programs for the workplace and schools.
